1GB of RAM
A5X processor – quad core graphics
5 MegaPixel camera including 1080p HD video recording
Retina display with screen resolution of 2048 x 1536
10 hour battery life
iPhoto – full photo editing that is in many ways better than the mac edition. If you are
interested in photography then you will spend hours trying to get your photos perfect.
Sky gamblers: air supremacy – This app was featured at the iPad launch event. It takes
games on the iPad to the whole new level.
Wifi only let’s you connect to the Internet via a wifi hotspot. This is great if you will only
want to use your iPad at home but for travellers this isn’t the best option.
4G LTE – this is a new type of fast wireless communication. It lets you get online even
when you are out of range of a wifi hotspot. The only downside is that you will have to
pay for a separate data plan (these can be expensive), also make sure that you check
whether 4G is available in your country. Eg. The UK doesn’t yet support 4G (instead a 3G
connection would be used.
16GB, 32GB or 64GB? – this depends on what you all will be using an iPad for. If you will
be playing lots of games and have tons of music then you will need more memory. I would
recommend that you choose at least 32GB as the new games and books take up a lot of
room.
If you have never owned an iPad before then now is certainly the time to get one. I also
believe that the new iPad would be a worthwhile update from an earlier generation device.
